I’m Edu, the heart behind Oh Flora. I moved to Calgary in early 2026 and decided to stop waiting and finally build the dream I’d carried with me for years.

Flowers have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Long before any of this was a business, I brought fresh blooms home every week. I simply needed that quiet beauty around me.

For over ten years I worked as a professional event planner in the wedding and special events world. In 2018 I began designing wedding florals alongside friends, and something clicked. Working so closely with brides and their stories made me feel fully present, fully alive. That was the moment I knew I wanted to spend my days with flowers.

Oh Flora is that little ‘oh…’ you breathe out when something is just beautiful. Flora is everything that grows and blooms. Together, they’re flowers made to create a feeling.

My style is garden-inspired, wild, and a little extra. It’s my Latina energy in flower form, free and expressive and beautifully untamed. I love blooms with personality, and I give them the room to become the focal point and steal the show.

I work with a wholesaler who sources from Canadian growers, so I can design with the freshest seasonal flowers and let every arrangement reflect the time of year.

In my own life I lean toward calm, neutral tones. With flowers, I come alive for bold, vibrant colour, and I love a bride brave enough to go bright. More than anything, I want my flowers to make you pause, smile, and feel a little more connected to beauty, to emotion, and to yourself.
